Contacting our representatives does make a difference, some have done so with potential new candidates. I'd like to suggest everyone contact the ones in office and ask them not to support SOPA and PIPA.

Well, 6.8 AR, your statement begs the question, how do you put a Senator's, like Corker, feet to the fire? He has a huge amount of money, his estimated net worth is over $50 Million, one of the top 10 richest U.S. Senators, and its ever increasing, plus a huge "war chest" for re-election. How does one garner impact on a person who has the wealth to negate impact?

Actually, it begs the question, how could he even relate to the "common man?"

It really does seem to be a situation of the "haves vs. the have nots." No large amount of personal income? No large amount of contributed $ to get you elected? No chance at becoming a U.S. Senator.

Corker is a "have"? Who are the "have nots"? Let's not get jealous of someone's

wealth. That part should be applauded. Corker can be put on notice by having

a challenger in a primary, or the mere threat of a challenger. Sometimes it takes

rattling the cage to make our representatives get on track.

I don't like most of what Alexander has done, like OS stated, after his terms at

governor, and I don't like some of what Corker has done as senator. Corker can

at least change his ways when he errs, unlike Alexander, who is a lost cause.

Call Corker or write or email him, or if that doesn't work, primary him, but don't

give up because he may be wealthy. In a bigger way than you might think, we

are dealing with Corker right here. When people communicate, some actually

pay attention. Do you really think he doesn't?
