Of those of you who are blackpowder shooters, what guns do you shoot?

I have a circa 1730s Flintlock Trade Gun (custom repro) in .62 calibre, with a 48 inch barrel. I use this for my circa 1780 impression.

I have a circa 1812-15 Flintlock Tennessee Rifle (semi-custom) in .50 calibre, w/42 inch barrel. Next, I have 2nd. Model Brown Bess Flintlock Musket (reproduction) in .75 calibre, also with a 42 inch barrel.

I also shoot Old West firearms, both in percussion and BP cartridge form...

Shooting some old stuff there.

I prefer the modern inlines, but have hunted with a sidelock Hawkens on occasion.

I started with a Hawken, maybe 24-25 years ago or so? It was a .50 caliber CVA. Anyway, a few years after that, I was at a gun show, and I was looking to sell it. Wasn't looking for much, but the offers I got were TOO low. So, as my father was walking around the show with me, after getting low-balled repeatedly, I turned to my father, and GAVE it to him! He no longer shoots it, but he still has it.

I did this in front of the last dealer who low-balled me, and you should have seen the look on the dealer's face!

PRICELESS!!!...

I switched from the Hawken because of the reliability of the inlines. The CVA Optima Pro always goes bang, when sometimes the Hawken took several caps if it was damp.
