As title says....some little ill diciplined kids got into my truck and took my hunting knife. it was a Ka-Bar passed down 3 generations. Ka-Bar still makes the same "style", with shorter blade but now made in Taiwan not USA.

id love to replace it with the same knife but since Kabar doesnt make it anymore i did find a Colt that would be nearly direct replacement but it comes from China!?!??

Below is a link to the newer version of what im looking for.

KA-BAR Knives, Inc. - Knives > All Categories > Leather Handled Skinner - Hardcore Lives. Hardcore Knives.

if anyone can give input on the Colt from china or another brand id greatly appreciate it!

You can find good condition used k-bars made in the USA and often milsurp at places that deal in milsurp, or gun shows. I do not know what such things cost but if you want the real thing an older model is the way to go. I am not sure about that exact model, it may be much harder to find one of those than the standard military knife.

sorry for your loss, as items like this are not replaceable. if it were me, id rather pay a similar price for an american made blade.

similar in size, but different blade type and steel.

just a suggestion.

Priced too high there, though.

Here's $50, free ship:
