Wife's new toy.

First off, thanks to all the folks who gave their reviews on the Beretta Tomcat. I found one for a very good price at Academy Sports yesterday. Brought it home to the wife and gave her the run down on it. The problem with past firearms I have given her is that she has difficulty racking the slide to chamber the first round. My hope was that with the tilting barrel on the Tomcat that she would be able to load it more comfortably. After taking it to the range today and letting her shoot 50 rounds, it appears we have a winner. She was able to load, cock and rock and roll this little baby with a confidence I have not seen her have before with an automatic. Other than a few jams from limp wristing the weapon, all the shots were dead on target. She shot from about 35 feet and placed all her shots center mass with a few very impressive bulls eyes. A pretty accurate little gun and a happy wife with a new toy.

I assume that is in 32acp? I am really wanting one in 22lr.

Yes, the Tomcat is .32acp, the Bobcat comes in 22lr and 25acp. I got her the 32acp in the hope that she would be confident enough to carry it once she gets her HCP.

I'm glad to read that your wife is pleased with the Tomcat, it's a well made pistol and should serve her well. Buying a pistol for your wife is alway's a risk, she either likes it or doesn't like it. The Tomcat is one of those pistol's that's hard not to like.

I got one for Dad after a guy backed out on a trade. It's hell on eyeballs at bad breath range.

Based on the holes in my wife's targets, it's gonna be hell on the belly at 35 feet.
