Evening all - Been reading here for a little over a year. I recently moved to TN and have settled in Spring Hill, just a short trip to Owl Hollow / Charles Hafner range. I grew up on the east coast and am loving the gun (and fireworks) laws here. The wife signed me up for the carry permit class for Christmas, so it looks like I'll be collecting some more guns in the near future. Thanks for all the tips so far - hopefully I'll be able to contribute some in the future!

Welcome from Franklin, near Thompson's Station. I just signed up over at the Haffner Range, let's make some noise together sometime soon. Also an east coast transplant, from Connecticut, but a distant 17 years ago.

I shoot a beretta neos .22 and a ruger 10/22. I'm taking the carry class on the 22nd and plan on getting either a beretta 96 or rock island 1911 tactical before then. The wife was concerned about guns when i started but she's starting to see how much fun it is, so I have a green light to add to the collection. I usually take my in law's block when I go to the range as well.

I love 10/22's. Shot 'em since I was a kid. I'm scratching my dough to pick up an xdm 45 in the next month or so. Currently shooting an sks and pink handled .25 Raven. (hangs head as wife chuckles in the background). Congrats on winning the wife over to peace via superior firepower and all that. God knows that was an uphill fight in this house!

Good luck collecting that Rock River. Great gun!

Got the Rock River Tactical version today. I was in Clarksville for work and drove past Tennessee Gun Country and had to stop in .... They wanted $445 for the GI 1911. I called Bellshire from the parking lot and they said the GI version in their shop is $408. I told them I'd be there in an hour lol. I picked up the tactical version for the bigger sights and it was virtually the same price as the GI version up at TNGC.

They did have a nice .45 Glock 21(?) for $375 used.

375 is a pretty good price! I'll have to stop by sometime. If you're ever in east Nashville and want grab a beer drop a line. In the meantime, welcome again to the forum. Good bunch of guys in here. Couple of women too.
