Thank you Officer Copeland

Got pulled over this morning by Officer CAMPBELL with the KCSO for a headlight out.

I had the bulb, bought it last night, just hadn't had a chance to install it. Luckily it was on the seat in plain view, giving proof of my good intentions.

Pretty much a "textbook" stop for a hcp holder.

I was asked if I was armed, yes, do you have a permit, yes, where is the firearm?

This part is pretty good by Officer CAMPBELL

"Tell you what, you don't draw yours, I won't draw mine."

While I don't encourage you to be pulled over in East Knox County, should it be Officer Corey Campbell, you can expect courtesy, respect, professionalism and a good sense of humor.

Keep up the good work over there at the KCSO!

OS, thanks for the catch! (Stupid auto fill)

Sherriff's deupties usually are above and beyond the caliber of people that make up your city police depts. I always figured the ones that couldn't make the Country went to the city.

Sherriff's deputies are usually at the total opposite end of the professionalism and common sense spectrum s.

Just based on MY experiences.

As for THP, they are professional to the point of being over the top. They do have an image to uphold. Never really had a problem with them. They are serious about their job. If you have an encounter with one,you will most likely get treated fine but you WILL be getting a ticket.

Nope, got pulled over for 78 in 65 on the Interstate. I saw him on the ramp as I kicked back my drink (in a metal can). He pulled me over...said I was speeding...then said he saw me "kickin' somethin back" and wanted to know what I was drinkin out of a metal can. I went to the cup holder and pulled up a SlimFast hahaha! He let me go with a warning! I didn't have my HCP at that time so I didn't have the pleasure of testing his carry friendliness.
