M&P. What would you choose?

I have an M&P 40 and it is a nice firearm. Handles very well and ammo is reasonable. A bit large for carry except in the winter when you have on coats and sweaters. My main carry is an LC9.

i know you didnt ask this but which ever one you get, get a DCAEK kit and the RAM kit for it. The S&W law enforcement pricing is an amazing deal. If your getting close to the deal i got youll still be into it less than MSRP and those kits turn that gun into a great shooter. Its now my favorite pistol

Thanks to all who responded!

I like the M&P and am now an S&W M&P Armorer.

However, they won't take me away from my G19s and G23...I've got 21 years of triggertime on Glocks, am a Glock Armorer, and have a ton of Glock related gear.

I'm "invested."

1. I'm a 9mm guy primarily...so I like the full-sized M&P 9mm and have plenty of 9mm ammo (J-Frames are my "small guns").

2. No problems with .45acp...I like the looks of the M&P .45 Mid (4" barrel, full grip). But, no other .45 guns or ammo anymore. Expensive to feed.

3. No hatred of the .40, but no great love either.

This will probably be a range toy...and I may end up just selling it.

I just traded an M&P9 for a G19. It is a great pistol, and was my nicest shooter. I just got a wild hair to complete my G19/G23 combo. Don't know that you could do any better for a range toy.

BTW... the Apex stuff makes it a much better range toy.

This describes me as well. Your not going to transform from a Glock shooter and I would be willing to bet you will shoot it less than any of your Glocks.
