My New Hogue Extreme G-10 Grips with Piranha Finish - Pics Included

I just got home from visiting my wife's family and found these waiting for me in the mailbox. They are the Hogue Extreme G-10 grips for the Sig P226 in their Black/Gray G-Mascus color and Piranha grip texture. I have had several pairs of Hogue wood grips and rubber grips, but these are the first like this I have gotten. I must say that I am extremely pleased. Although they are listed as "black & gray" they also have a layer of brown in them that actually goes well with the flat dark earth color Serpa holster I have. As I expected coming from Hogue, the fit & finish is fantastic. The Piranha grip texture is like a series of large dimples, and is very comfortable and secure. I also think they look great. In addition to the grip panels, I ordered some of their stainless hex grip screws to compliment the stainless slide on the pistol.

MY, that certainly is quite a change! Most impressive. Can't say that I would've made that choice, but I'm just an old fuddyduddy.

Looks great. I had a Scorpion with the Hogue g10 grips and loved that Piranha texture. Man it sure made it stick to your hands. Great choice..

i like the stock grips better, I got the Houge Re Checkered grips for my P220 and the grip is incredible while maintaining the stock look

Been trying to find wood grips for my P226 but it's a pre 91' , seems impossible.

The look of wood does enhance the look doesn't it..

Seems like i read something about changing out the hammer spring would take care of fitting the standard wood ones. Not trying to rob the thread here , just reaching out....
