He is clearly advocating personal responsibility. We live in a culture where people blame everybody (and even objects–guns) but never put the blame where it belongs.

Very clear and a message I 100% agree on. Stop blaming others from the past, and others of the present on what YOU do. Being in such a "diverse" city such as Memphis, there are news stories, daily, of people that haven't, won't break the cycle of blame, it's never their fault, it is ALWAYS someone else.
