It's not surprising that his Highness would make recess appointments while the Senate isn't in recess. This is why so many judges are activists. Although he never practiced it, Obama taught Constitutional law in Chicago. How well can you teach about a subject you have no respect for? Too bad they won't impeach him for violating the Constitution.

Congress is allowing themselves to become irrelevant. The last several Presidents have been consolidating power in the executive branch. Obama has shown he doesn't care about the congress or the constitution, and neither the supreme court or congress is trying to stop him.

It wasn't a recess appointment unless you apply the political double standard

the way the Democrats do. It makes Obama, at the least, a hypocrite, at the most,

in violation of the Constitution. It has something to do with Congress' advise and

consent. They didn't give consent because the Senate was in session. you can

argue it however you wish, but Obama was a participant while in the Senate and

protested Bush's legitimate recess appointments. He didn't play by established

rules. Made up his own.

Look back at what Hitler did while stealing power in the 30's.

Well, if Senate goes Republican, perhaps they can impeach him. Who knows, maybe they already would have if the Senate were GOP controlled.

The House might vote for it, if it would get past Boehner's objection, but with the

pansies in the Senate, I doubt he would get removed, fearing the senators would

lose their seats next election. The legislative branch needs some "leaders" before

that happens, I think. I don't think Boehner has it in him.

House only votes to initiate the procedure, to send to Senate. That's the House's only part in the process. Everything from possible indictment to conviction is handled in the Senate. (actual conviction and removal takes 2/3 vote of the 100 senators -- might could happen, depending on Senate makeup after 2012).

If people are dumb enough to re-elect Obama he will not only finish destroying what freedom we still have he will most likely try to give his self a lifetime appointment saying he can do more for us if he doesn't have to deal with a pesky election process.

The excuse Dems are using is that Bush did it also. As if that makes it OK. I have lost faith with both parties. Our system of government is sound, but the people running it don't follow the Constitution. Don't know what it will take to change this. We don't need another president that will just follow the status quo. Just same old &^%$.
