That's a sharp looking pistol.

Is that an anchor on the side in front of the ejection port? And would that make it the model that is rumored to be adopted by the Navy units?

Yes, the SEALs have 'upgraded' to the MK25.

It looks good enough to almost make me look for one. I like the Sig pistols, but for some reason I just seem to bypass them when looking for another gun. Maybe this will change that.

A top of the line 226 is in a whole 'nother universe compared to a 250. :P

What makes this different from any other 226?

Pretty much the biggest difference is a phosphate coating on internal parts to prevent corrosion. And of course the sweet anchor.

Very nice pistol!! Are you gonna carry it or admire it? LMAO ;)

I was looking for a 226 Navy a friend found me one in Florida NIB that I was going to buy. I did not know about this one until mI saw this thread I always carry a .45 but this may change things. I have the gun on Layaway so it will be a couple of months my wife would have killed me for just buying another pistol so that is the only way i could get it

MSRP $1142.00 kinda steep, isn't it?

considering a plain P226 goes for $850 without night sights. Id say its par for the course. I saw one in Knoxville gun shop for $1048, i think.

If you can find a used 226 for $500, then the answer is NO. unless you plan on swimming in the ocean and then shooting bad guys.
