Looking for review on the Beretta Tomcat .32

I am thinking of getting a Beretta TomCat .32 for my wife as a purse pistol. My stepfather had one when I was young but I never got to shoot it. I like the tilting barrel because she has problems racking the slide on most of my guns and even her Walther P22. What I would like to know is how it shoots, ease of loading and accuracy of the weapon. Any other note worthy info about the gun. As always, you are my go to guys so thanks in advance.

I had one. Good gun exc ept for the caliber I didnt like .32. The tilt up feature is ideal for anyone who has trouble racking slides and i knwo some men who have that problem too.Always went bang when it was supposed to.

Had one for several years and didn't shoot it much. Can't say that I remember any problems with it. I finally sold it because I just didn't seem to do anything with it.

IIRC the Beretta 32ACP is the Bobcat and the slightly larger 380ACP is the Tomcat. Either of these is a first class CCW and will provide excellent service. I’m going through a bit of the same selection process with my wife who generally utilizes a small revolver. She’s done her research and has decided on the Ruger LCP in 380ACP and all I’ve done is answer any questions she wanted more insight into. I hope that you and your wife can do the same together and make the selection she wants.

I can tell you my Bobcat has been trouble free and I've ran quite a few rounds through it with out issues.

I did have a spell where I kept it in the garage and the trigger guard absorbed some rust, cleaned and repainted and looks new again.

I believe the Bobcat is the .25acp and .22lr, and the Tomcat is the .32acp. To my knowledge Beretta doesn't make a .380 acp in this frame. But I wish they did.

I had one it was a good piece. I never had any problems out of mine or personally witnessed any that had problems, but I have read that the blued models have problems with cracking frames or slides. "They" recommend the INOX model to prevent this.

Tomcat is the .32 cal............had one for 16 yrs. No problems. Easy for anyone to operate. But is a little heavier than the LCP .380. Between the two, like the LCP better.

I have always gathered that the tomcats were great guns. If you can feel comfortable with 32acp, and I can, there fine. The LCP/keltec sales have really hurt those.

Very true.
