Depends. I think it is anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks. I think I got mine in 4..but it was a LOONNNGG 4 weeks..seemed like it was never going to get here. Hang in there...don't even think about carrying until you have it in your hand..It's not worth the risk.

I hate to be the acronym nazi, but in Tennessee its HCP, not CCW. :P

I wish it was a CCDW though, so I could carry a switchblade knife or other things like that like you can in some states with a permit. I'm STILL waiting for anyone to explain to me why I can carry a weapon that shoots deadly pieces of metal for a hundred yards but heaven forbid I have a tiny switchblade knife in my pocket.......

Back on topic, mine took about 19 days from the time I was fingerprinted to getting the permit in the mail. This was back in April/May of last year.

Was in a county in MI last week where open carry was allowed with no permit but any folding knife was illegal. I carried my 1911(winter time) and got out my 3" pocket knife to open presents and was told not to get caught with it in this county.

You know what they say... Don't bring a knife to a gun fight.

I applied and was fingerprinted on 1/11, called today for fun, and was told the permit was approved and issued on 1/23. Should recieve it in a few days.

Once you turn your paperwork in they give you a number to call. Once you call the number they ask you were you would prefer to be printed at. I am in Clarksville so there was only Integrity Security that did it. In bigger cities I would imagine they have more places.
