Wow! I doubt there are that many quail left in Macon county where I live. Bird hunting is one of several things I enjoyed as a boy that my children haven't gotten to experience. I'm glad to see that you all did.

Were these all wild quail? Loved to hunt them as a teen, and would love to these days. Like someone said earlier, there don't seem to be any around Murfreesboro these days. Haven't heard one in years! Congrats to you and your sons... they will remember these days when they're old and gray.

I went quail hunting yesterday but it was on a preserve. There aren't hardly any quail around here anymore. One of my buddies has about 4 coveys on his farm but we are afraid to hunt them. We are hoping they will multiply if we can keep the coyotes away from them.
