Sons of Guns....cutting edge?

look at the last episode. They needed a weapon that would function under extreme conditions in the desert similar to an AK. So they built a piston AR. But the production makes it seem like they are building some top secret new invention. ITS JUST A PISTON DRIVEN AR.

that killed that show for me. Its not like he EVEN built the piston kit, they BOUGHT it. RJF does the same thing that smith and wesson does on their piston guns, build the gun and buy someone elses piston.

The show started to annoy me because of the 458 Socom. I under stand that show is done for non-gun people, but to make is lead on like they were the first to come out with the 458 socom. Its not like you cant order that upper from RRA.

The piston ar was the last straw. I dont plan on watching it any more.

There's a lot of blow hard crap on the show. But, the gunsmith brought up the SOCOM in the first meeting as an existing caliber. Sure, you can buy a SOCOM upper from RIA (I did), but it doesn't have an integral supressor. They have the tools to build the rifle, and it looks like they got it done. I'm guessing they may have bought the bolt, but again, they have the tools. The SOCOM bolt is just a modified .223 bolt.

Not defending all the sensationalism. Just sayin', they built a rifle that I would like to have. I would even swap my RRA for it.
