I prefer 158gr bullets for .38/.357 caliber.

Anyone use this weight bullet for 2" barrels?

Yup. Use it in our Smith Model 36. Handloads actually. 5.3 grains of unique and hardcast 158 grain SWC. Powerful and accurate. About 900 fps or so out of a two inch barrel. If ya dont handload, take a look at the Buffalo Bore 158 grain swc ammo.

Check out the 135 grain +p Gold Dots. I found some really good things about them when looking for a good SD load for my J frame.

Yes, in lead bullets. Jacketed 158s velocity is pathetic in the short barrels.

For SD factory 38 158 LHPs, when I discovered the Buffalo Bore I went to them as I don't think CorBon loads this anymore. The BBs aren't bad in a steel frame, they are a handful in a lightweight.
