I had forgotten about that "ad," suntzu. It's been a few years since that one graced by SNL.

He will be missed. Believe it or not, I actually like his stance on "Climate Change" better than any of his acting or his NRA spokesman speeches.

RIP Chuck Heston. He will be missed. He was a lifetime leader for our cause.

Now he meets Moses.

Edit: One of my favorite quotes from him was something he said when he was elected as President of the NRA. He said "Mr. President, American doesn't trust you with our 21 year old daughters, and we sure, by God, don't trust you with our guns".

God's speed Mr. Heston.

Ted Nuggent is taking his place as the face of the NRA. Along with Tom Selleck. Of the two I would rather have Selleck speaking for me. He doesn't come off as such a wacko as Nuggent some times does.

RIP Chuck.

Whos to take his place as an American Patriot? The new face of the NRA?

Mr. Heston would want you to pry the gun from his cold dead fingers to carry on the fight, not turn it in.

Saddened to know that he has "left the range".

From http://www.nra.org/Speech.aspx?id=6044.

"I remember a decade ago at my first annual meeting in St. Louis. After my banquet remarks to a packed house, they presented me with a very special gift. It was a splendid hand-crafted musket.

I admit I was overcome by the power of its simple symbolism. I looked at that musket and I thought of all of the lives given for that freedom. I thought of all of the lives saved with that freedom. It dawned on me that the doorway to all freedoms is framed by muskets."

Thank you, Mr. Heston, for not only saying the things that needed to be said, but saying those things "your way", as only you could.

Job well done.

...He [President Clinton] boasts about 186,000 people denied firearms under the Brady Law rules. The Brady Law has been in force for three years. In that time, they have prosecuted seven people and put three of them in prison. You know, the President has entertained more felons than that at fundraising coffees in the White House, for Pete's sake...
