I think the difference might be that the shop was private property and the other locations are public property. Not that I agree with the Occupy Movement but property owners have the right to ask you to leave (and have you arrested for trespassing if you don't) versus the right to gather on public property. I can't have it both ways--either there is a right to assemble or there are no private property rights. Either I, or you or anyone else, can assemble in public to air my greviances or the Constitution and Bill of Rights are meaningless.

Occupy an independently owned coffee shop because you think the owner is one of the 1%? How freakin' out of touch are these knuckle draggers? That said, half of the folks that go into a Starbucks every morning near me are doing the same thing. They go in, order one cup of coffee and maybe a danish and then set up their office complete with laptop and cell phone, and proceed to sit there for hours at a time.
