The Kennedys mini series

Just watched this interesting show on Nextflix streaming. Overall I give it a B. Really good acting, and the actors all look just like the real life people they play (the guy who plays Lyndon Johnson is a spitting image).

Gives you a hard, unsentimental look at the family during their glory years. The Kennedy era is just about over now in this country. They are obviously not as relevant socially or politically as they used to be, but if you like 20th Century American history and politics you'll probably like this. Must have been an interesting time back then. Like with the Cuban missle crisis, we were pretty freaking close to pushing the button.

Khrushchev pulled them out when he pulled out the strategic nukes because he was upset that Castro had been urging him to launch the strategic nukes during the crisis.

Interestin stuff. I've got an old buddy that was in the army and was deployed to south florida during the "missle crisis". He said he didn't expect that he would ever see home again.
