Thanks Lester. I think these folks provide a valuable service to us. They entertain with nuttiness, and cause us all to think a bit about some folks are actually thinking; indeed, a very valuable commidity. While were on the subject; take the time to check out this link: "Humans Beware" I.W.G. Custom Show# . It's a bit out of date, but take the time to read the post about IWG, the "Wilderness Insurgents Grouppo". This is more good stuff right up there with the "Cows with Guns" and "Chickens with Choppers" thing. These guys have to be kin to eachother.

Enjoy.

If PETA will send me their address, I'll donate a gift card for them to Longhorn Steakhouse.

Can I just send you my address instead? And while I'm ejoying a good Flo's Filet...I'll memorialize them while there.

We need to start a vegetable rights group, and sue PETA.

Noble idea, but I, for one, would have to recuse myself - I'm just as guilty of wanton vegetable devouring as I am premeditated meat eating.

I've bit a few heads off myself :-)

Remember that old proto-new-age book, The Secret Life of Plants--

link-- The Secret Life of Plants - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

According to the authors, if you connect common house plants to the proper instrumentation, then you discover to your horror that plants scream in pain when injured and even display amazing telepathic powers!

Perhaps the only humane solution to minimize the suffering of living creatures-- Develop industrial processes which directly convert un-living raw material (such as coal and water) into food.

But even that may be too cruel, because possibly even non-organic matter possesses its own forms of consciousness? How else could we explain the high probability that when we drop a screw, that it rolls away and hides under the heaviest and most immovable object in the room? Which is even more likely to occur if we have no substitute part, possibly indicating the telepathic ability of small parts to know when they are especially rare, choosing to make extraordinary efforts at escape!

An old psychology professor wondered if consciousness is a quantum effect-- Perhaps each subatomic particle has a tiny quantum of consciousness, but it only becomes noticeable if sufficient particles become amalgamated into the appropriate configuration? Unfortunately there may not be anything which is humane to eat. Though not configured in a way which we can easily recognize, bulk inorganic materials might scream in pain when we manipulate them for our selfish ends.
