Norfolk Gun Show

Finally in port for a fun show, in Norfolk. Did something happen the last year or so to make prices triple, or were there just a bunch of really optimistic sellers? I don't make it to shows very often, so I don't know if this is normal, or if these guys just had their bandit masks hidden under the tables.

Just a few off the cuff prices I noticed - rack grade Inland M1 Carbines marked between 900 and 1300.... M1 Garands at 1200 and up - way, way up. P38's at $350, when my buddys' shop here in Norfolk has 'em unissued for $269. What really hurt were the broomhandle mausers. Being a little off in the head I've been sort of looking for one. Not at 4 grand, though! M4's at $990+, just like the one I put up for sale on this board at $650 (no takers:cry:). Looked around for one of those $300 AK's I read about so often in the papers, but they must have all sold out :ugh:.

I did buy an old military coleman lantern (I only have 300 or so coleman lanterns, good thing I found it) just so I wouldn't have wasted the door charge for the show...

So, is this normal these days, or what?

Hmmm didn't know they had gun shows there. At least they didn't when I was stationed there.
