I got a pretty good end of the year bonus at work. My wife suggested I get the safe I have been wanting for quite a while. So this afternoon I took delivery of a 37" Champion trophy series. 14 1.25" active bolts 11 gauge shell and a 75 minute 1500 degree fire rating :D Can't wait to start loading it up.

:) It's the biggest one I have any place to put. The stuff that won't fit will just have to stay where it is now.

Good awnser. When I bought my first safe, I really didn't realize just how little interior room there was. But I made do with it for a few years and then bought another, bigger safe. But....by that time, it was too small as well. :)

I have 2 safes. One upstairs for my go to gun and one down in the basement for the "collection" along with papers and whatnot from the whole family.

Nice safe. I got a Champion and like it better than any others I've seen.

Nice safe! Hope the floor it's sitting on is up to the load. I used my year-end bonus to supersize my happy meal.

Just be happy you got one!

Concrete. In fact the whole house has a concrete floor.

Congrats on the Champion.

I worked with loss control people for years and I have seen safes of all types and sizes after they have been broken into, burned and dragged down the highway after being pulled out of the window with a chain and a Jeep, and I purchased a Champion Crown safe for myself. Let the rest of these guys on here crow about who's safe is better or junk, but you have the class leader.

Figure between $1800 and $4000 depending on the size and type Champion it is......a lot less money than the total dollar value than the guns it will keep safe.

Congratulations on your safe purchase. I bought the Liberty from GM a few years back. My wife wouldn't let me put it any place but in a closet, so I had to get the largest I could that would go through a 23' door.

I just looked at some Champions yesterday, the only thing i didn't like was the internal hinges....door does'nt open wide enough.

The knoxville store is called an outlet. They have several models that are less than that. If you have a way to haul and install it yourself, you can save a couple of hundred also.

The door swing is limited by where I have the safe anyway, so that wasn't an issue for me. I believe Champion makes some with external hinges.
