What is the legal amount of guns an individual can buy and sell in a year before he needs to get a FFL? I talked to an atf agent but he couldnt tell me an exact number he just said you couldnt engage in a business and said that me going to a gun show and buying a gun one month then selling it the same month then going back to another gun show and buying another gun and selling it the next month was considered a business. But then he told me if I had 100 guns in my personally collection I could sell all of them. How many days is it until the gun is considered part of your personal collection? If anybody could help clear up this muddy as hell definition it would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, there is no set rule. At one time the unofficial rule was 7 in a year, but these days they won't give you and numbers, even unofficially.

Let's put it this way, the BATFE regularly raids flea markets in this area. If you are "trading" about every week, they will bust you.
