Great Prices on Liquor

So I went to Zaxby's on Emery road today and I've always wondered about the prices inside Pop's Place Liquors and today I stopped and went inside on a whim. Well let me tell you this, they have great prices.

I picked up another bottle of Moet and Chandon Imperial champagne for New Years at $41.99. I doubt you can find it cheaper anywhere in Knoxville. The last bottle I bought was $69.99 which I knew was a rip off but they were the only place that sold the Rose Imperial. They also have a bunch of liquors on closeout like Barton Gin (I wouldn't drink it straight but it probably makes for a great mixer) at less than $10 (I wanna say it was $7 for 750ml). They also have Blue Eyes vodka (I've never tried it but it's always $20 a bottle everywhere) which was on closeout as well for $10 a bottle.

Best part, they aren't posted!!!!!! The 4 gentlemen that were in the store were extremely nice as well. Give them some business.

Go there all the time. I don't drink much of anything other than beer, but the wife likes their selection of wine.

It's hard to beat Bob's as far as selection. Reasonably priced as well. I'll have to check out Pop's next time I'm over that way.

how do they compare to "Bob's Package Store"

Where's Bob's located? I've never been there. I generally stick to the one in front of the Walmart (the really small one) as they are super nice to me and Vics for things they don't have. I used to go to Toddy's but I hate driving across town to do it.

Edit:

nvm, I've been to Bob's before. I wasn't that impressed. Now that new one that's in front of the TJ Maxx where the old Blockbuster used to be is my Scotch Heaven. I went in there one day and they had Macallan 12yr for $29.99 a bottle. Needless to say, I bought 2. If I'm not mistaken, they had a gin I usually buy for $13.99 when I normally get it for $10.99. I only went there because I picked up a friend from work and he wanted to go there.

We have to come from Sevierville and have found Christy's on Rutledge Pike (east side) to have really good prices with regular sales and a great selection.

I have been in every liquor store from Bristol to Baxter.

No one beats Bob's.

They will price match and if you simply ask for a discount they will give you about ten percent every time(1.75 and sale items excluded as they are already discounted more than ten percent)

Bob's has been my go to place lately since I only drink wine as of late. Good prices and good selection. Turkey creek wine & liquors is pretty decent too on selection, but not the best prices.

Okay let's give Bob's a shot real quick.

Case of Andre Dry at Cork And Bottle = $52

Case of Andre Dry at Bob's = $57.57

I'm going to have to get you guys to shop around

So one item out of a thousand is the deciding factor?

Nopers not at all. It just happens to be what I'm buying today :D I base my $$ on what I am buying. If I'm buying X thing, I don't care if one place has Y for cheaper than another if X is still more expensive and that's my main reason for going. However, I plan my purchases in such a way that if I want Y say next week, I'll remember that Y is cheaper over there and I'm since I'm going to be in that area later on, I can pick it up then without going out of my way.

Hmmm....that reminds me...must call Bob back and see if he has one other Champagne in stock.

Sad panda

They don't have the Rose Imperial but they do have the Nectar Imperial for $49.99 which isn't bad. Best part, they have Dom :D

So at any rate Bob will price match the Cork and Bottle price. I am, not so sure Cork and Bottle will price match.

The Cork and Bottle price I am guessing is a sale price, where as Bob's is the everyday price.

And is the price you quoted the price per bottle X 12? If so you are flawed to begin with. Bob's offers 12% discount on whole cases and 10% on split cases.

There is a reason no one can touch Bob's prices, and there is a reason why he is the biggest volume retailer in the east TN district.

I wouldn't know a good price from a bad price since I buy so little liquor these days. If I buy a 12-pack of beer, it is pretty bitter by the time I get to the last few beers (months). I have 10-year old scotch that is now 25 years old. Guess I'm not much of a drinker.

But good to know the good spots to buy in Knox County.

How much are the prices on Jack Daniels and Captain Morgan's? Any size. That is all I drink since I gave up vodka.
