Mossberg 510 Mini in 410

Ok So I get up this morning headed rabbit hunting and ask the boy if he wants to go 5 yrs old day after Christmas NOT. So I ask my daughter and she says yes.... Then she looks at me and says what am I going to shoot? So I stop a local gunshop and pick up a Mossberg 510 mini in 410. She is 7 and this is almost perfect for her. THe only issues that we had were 1. working the pump and 2. the trigger pull weight. I know the working the action over time will smooth it up but is there a way to speed this process up? and can I light the trigger on this gun?
