I always used an ax to smack the primers. ^_^

Yes, longer handle is definitely better in this situation!

Oh, I was probably 12 when I did that. But is does sound like fun for the next time I have friends out with lots of beer. :D

seriously now, if i had this bullet I would go to Home Depot and get a bag of Ready Mix concrete. Mix up the entire bag. half fill a pickle bucket with the concrete and put the offending bullet on top, primer side down. Then fill the remaining part of the bucket with more concrete. Let set up for five days in a very safe location.

Take the bucket and dangerous round to Bristol and leave at the end of Mars' driveway for him to dispose of. But thats just me....

The best thing to do with the powder is dump it on your lawn - it's a good fertilizer. Oil will only temporarily disable a primer. Only firing the primer will disable it permanently.
