Mosin brass case ammo

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hello everyone. I recently purchased a Mosin 91/30 (1931 hex receiver with matching numbers except for bayonet, clean bore...I'm pretty excited about it). I'm thinking about casting and reloading for it in a few months for various reasons (avoid the corrosive stuff, which I've only found a small quantity of anyway, just for the fun of casting and reloading, etc.).

I've found brass cased ammo online but was wondering if anyone knew of a local shop (Knoxville/Sevierville area) that stocks any? If I can avoid paying for shipping and have an excuse to go to a gun shop it would be great. I know some online places have brass cases but the stuff I've seen seems overly expensive and appears that buying some factory ammo and using that brass is the more economical way to go.

Any help would be appreciated.
