I had the chance to look at a Desert Eagle 1911 G

I wasn't able to shoot it but I put on par with Colts if not better with the fit and finish and dry fire of the trigger.

So I looked it for reviews and found

Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911 45 ACP Auto-Pistol LINK

For around 700$ I think its a good choice.

Have a look at one if you can I am sure you will agree.

A friend of mine loves his, If I could get one without the Roll marks and front cocking serrations I would buy one today

Yeah I've never been a fan of front cocking serrations. I'd like to try one of these out, except I don't know anybody who has one nor have I seen one in a store... yet.
