Charlie's a wonderful guy who has the cheapest dues of any range around. I ask people, even though he says nothing, please don't shoot the target backers. I'm serious, he'll never say a word, but he has to pay for that wood out of the dues we pay in. Shoot into the ground, especially with slugs and buck shot. They destroy the plywood really fast. It don't cost us a thing to be considerate like that. Do what you like, I'm nobody and nothing, but I'm asking politely. Toss out some clays on the ground in between the backers or like dbla says, ask to go to the upper range and pound the sky.

*EDIT* HAAAAA! Bigwakes beat me to it:)

Thanks for all the comments. Yes Caster that is why I am on here asking.......;)

I don't want to destroy anything and on the far right side of the range where we normally shoot, the backers are usually cardboard on a wood frame. Shooting that close I would think the pattern would be tight enough not to have to worry about the wood frame.

I'll talk to Charlie next time I'm out there to find out for sure where I can shoot.

This shotgun is gonna be for home defense so throwing clays is really not going to be helpful.
