Please tell my this is all a joke...a demented attempt at sarcasm directed toward the music industry. This isn't a serious "musical" release?

We are doomed.

That could be real. I've seen some of the crap that is being put out there. It's horrid.

I know, very familiar with the Onion, been following for years. My comment is based upon the crap that is being produced today and when compared to this, it actually could be real!

some of the parody tunes are better than the originals. An old gamer, I have found myself singing the "roll a d6" parody, and I had never heard the original song.

The sad part is that their parody is not really any different from what society calls talent these days. It's bad when several people weren't sure that was a parody. That shows just how devoid of talent the music industry really is now.

The music industry isn't devoid of talent at all. There is a lot of talent out there and even the majority of the mainstream acts that you are referring to have talent. The problem is in the higher ups that want to run the music business more like a car business (if this one is popular, build another one just like it). When a major label signs an act, especially a young act, they generally start forming that act into something else.

I work in the music industry and I can tell you, there is a lot of talent out there. Sometimes, as a consumer, you have to search it out. Its not always going to find you. CrimsonAudio is also in the music industry and I'm sure he would agree that there is plenty of talent out there (hell, he is talented at what he does).

I'm sure you are correct, and there probably are plenty of talented people in the music industry. But, for some reason, they seem to constantly promote the talentless. The "products" that they spend most of their PR on seems to have the least talent. I'm sure their are many talented folks that just aren't getting properly promoted.

If you consider that Jersey Shore is one of the most popular tv shows, I wouldn't have been surprised in the least if this had been real.

The Disney Dime a Dozen Divas and Douches.

Sorry way to much of it for my blood (and it is bad when my 10 yr old boy and 12 yr old girl call it on their own)
