Why I did not know this already is beyond me. Twisted Metal:Black was one of my favorite PS2 games. I thought they had abandoned the series. Apparently not!

TM is a classic game series. I can remember my friends and I playing them when we were younger ever since the first one.

I remember playing the original once or twice, enjoyed it. I would buy an X-box version of the new one if they made it.

It will be PS3 only.

Twisted Metal 2 was the best multiplayer game of the PS platform. Twisted Metal was good, but not as good as 2, 3 wasn't that good. I didn't care for Black, it was too fast paced and the cars were too powerful.

Twisted Metal 1 & 2 required strategy and a little bit of skill.

It was my senior year of HS when TM2 was released. Quite literally that was all we did that summer. The Run & Gun control setting (which is similar to modern racing games, gas and brake on trigger/shoulder buttons) and we would play TM2 nearly 24 hours a day.

Thumper was my character of choice. Outlaw II was my second. Grasshopper was my least favorite. Shadow was my least favorite character when played by the right guy. You knew you were screwed when you would hear the "Owouha" of his Special being fired."

It is amazing that I remember a game from fifteen years ago as as vividly and in detail that I do TM2. There are a few games that I consider "Game Changers" in the world of gaming, and TM2 wasn't exactly one of them, but it will go down as one of my favorites.

With this and the coming Last of Us, I might rethink my stance of being an XBox 360 only home...

Awww, gosh darn it! Oh well... Thanks for the heads up anyway. I have lots of buddies that play MW3 on PS3 while I'm isolated on X-Box. It's technologically possible to merge those two platform servers ain't it? I sure wish they would do it already! Oh well, life goes on. I guess if it bothers me so much I ought to just break down and get a PS3 already, but that sure is a lot of ammo, or reloading components, or so forth and so on...

I played the original with my cousin but none of the games. All we ever did was battle each other. I remember you could blow up the Eiffel Tower and drive down it. I was always the Indy car.
