Constantly having to sign into TGO

Forums, yes.

Others that I make purchases from or bank accounts, no.

Earlier tonight I was reading threads here after clicking on "New Posts" and after reading some on the first page I clicked to move to page 2 and it made me sign back on. That sucks!

Over 13,000 members and only a few seem to have this problem. Clearly it's not the server. I can't be of much more help than that. Sorry.

Try resetting your browser to default settings. It seems something is messed up in there and without going back and forth for about 200 posts with guesses this may at least get you working.

I have a similar problem on my PC laptop. I'll log in but it shows an error, sometimes I can just click "new posts" and the page wakes up with me logged in. Other times I have to re-log in.

I figured it's my vintage Dell and I blow it off but I can see how this would be aggravating.

When I shut this laptop down I have it set to clear out everything, history, cookies ect.

I always suggest this: logout, zap all TGO cookies, make your initial login at www.tngunowners.com/forums/, NOT at base address of www.tngunowners.com

Just the login location seems to make a diff for some without clearing cookies, so that's an easy first thing to try.

Are you using safari? Safari mobile (iPad) I have that problem constantly. iPhone and MacBook work fine. I've tried everything, I have just resorted to logging in and dealing with it.

OK I just came on here and I didn't have to log in! Something that I tried that wasn't working has started working now. It must have been something that needed my computer to reboot so for now I seem to be where I was before!

I guess that you guys can tell I'm technologically challenged! Thanks for the help!

if you use something like firefox you maybe turned on private browsing by accident. You may have a third party program that cleans up for you every so often, for example a malware or spyware virus protection could have decided that this site is a problem. Maybe you setup something like ccleaner to run too often. Those are the sorts of things that cause this. It could even be a less obvious setting such as "only use 100 MB for web data" and when that cache is full, it deletes things based off some logic.
