Choke Tube Question

I just got my new Baikal MP 153. Took it out of the box and assembled it. It came with four (4) choke tubes, which are marked: F/Steel, M/Steel, IC/Steel, and XF/Steel. There is nothing on the tubes about "lead" shot. I realize steel shot should not be fired through choke tubes designed for lead shot... but can lead shot be fired through all choke tubes designated for "Steel" shot, without any damage? I have not fired the gun yet, but would like to fire the 100 "break in" rounds using lead shot. Thanks for your expert input.

Thanks for your reply. I went back and searched my owner's manual, again, and found it. It basically confirmed what you said.

Most all the major tube makers have replacements as well for this gun. If you are using this gun for hunting or clays, these may give better pattern performance. I use Trulock and Carlson's. The Baikal is a very good gun for the money whether Autos or Doubles.
