Question on big game and magazine capacity

Got a question for you. I recently purchased an AR platform .308 for deer hunting. Are there any restrictions on the number of cartridges you can have in a magazine when big game hunting

There is no mag restriction for big game. Upland and migratory bird have a restriction. Deer, turkey, bear you are good to go.

I would get a 5 rounder just because of wieght. I rifle can get heavy after a decent hike.
