so what do you do with coyotes?

I asked the same question I another thread and got "dispose of the carcass per the landowners direction". So in other words whatever you want. Pelts aren't with much unless you have A LOT and have a buyer.

Nice Coyote!

I have a United States Air Force artic parka that my dad wore in Korea. It has Coyote fur around the hood, or so I was told. Does anyone know if that is true.

My dad has one too, from Korea. I believe you are correct on those had Coyote fur.

Since that isn't your average colored coyote, I would at least mount it or tan the hide. You may never see another one like it again!

Have often wondered if a canine fur coat would smell like wet dog if it got wet?

You should post a How-to, from skinning to finish on tanning a hide

I think I have one posted as a "Sticky" in the Taxidermy "How to" section. If not, let me know and I'll do one up!

Oh, I missed that, I use Tapatalk and that limits some of my forum exposure. Thanks

I burn them. Don't want anything digging them up as yotes carry a lot of parasites.

Why don't you sell the pelts? That's money in your pocket! And, if you take the time to skin, flesh and tan the pelt....they sell very "high" on many of the auction sites.

They aren't worth a hoot to me. I've skinned them many times and sold them, but it's just never been worth all the effort to me.

How much for how many? If a guy only kills 5-6 a year is it worth the effort?

I would usually average around $40-50 per hide. Bobcats however, are worth BIG money. I sold one two years ago for nearly over $500.
