I didn't want my first post here to be a negative one but i can't keep from saying my peice on my day.

As a new HCP inductee (hasn't arrived yet but it's in the mail headed this way) but a long time firearm's owner and 2nd amend supporter. I've never had a day like this in a gun shop.

Having money burning a hole in my pocket and needing a new IWB holster for my Bersa Thunder and wanting to pickup a Kel-Tec P3AT or a P9 i decided to checkout a gun dealer ive heard alot of good about in my county but ive never got a chance to go to since it's 30+ min's in the wrong direction from where i always travel.

I show up at Farnsworth firearms and the place is a mess, everything covered in heavy dust and stuff piled so high on the counters i couldnt see what was in the cases without about sitting on the floor.

Found what i was after and was looking at the P9 they had in the case and hollered at one guy behind the counter for help and he never flenched. Then i tryed to get the attention of the other guy and he just ignored me.

I layed the holster on the counter and just left.

Guess i'll just go spend it up at Coal Creek in knoxville this weekend.

It's a shame too i heard so much good about them and made a point to go out of my way today to go by there.

Well back to stalking the mailman!

When I started dating people always told me not to form impressions based on the first date.

Same thing with a gun shop. I would go back once more at a different time and see what happens.

Sorry bout the missap. I agree with the Rabbi, try that one again at a later date to see what happens. Good luck with your stalking,& welcome to TGO.

I have to disagree on that 1. If you take the time & drive out of your way & are treated like you dont matter then shop elsewhere. When I go into a store I dont expect a courtesy reach around but I do expect to be treated like a customer. Unles you rolled in with a bunch of thug yay yo's then tthey could have atleast acknowledged you were there.

Coal Creek is very good. Frontier Firearms is also great for a selection of holsters and guns.

The prices are pretty much the same, Coal Creek might be $10 cheaper on guns but $2.00 more on accesories.

At Frontier they are usually real busy and still real nice and helpful.

I actually frequent Farnsworth ALL the time and have purchased both of my handguns from them EXCLUSIVELY. Yes, it is dusty and may look like it is in shambles but the guys that work there are the friendliest guys I have ever met. Maybe they were having a bad day or something, I'm not about to make excuses for them. I took my HCP course there, my father has purchased 4 handguns and a rifle from them as well.

Maybe it was the "and hollered at one guy behind the counter " that made them ignore you?
