Need a Skilled Engraver

I'm not looking for text on an AR receiver...I have a small image that I'd like to have engraved into a shotgun receiver, then filled with 23k gold (or the job has to be turned around fast enough that I can do the filling). This would have to be a freehand job, as it's a one-off design.

Bonus points if this job could be completed before Christmas. Nashville area preferred, but not a huge issue.

Thanks!

Patrick

Do not use the lady who engraves at the shows. I had her do a test piece that was decent then she totally screwed the actual piece. It was almost like her 4 year old grnadson did it.

Well, you could fill it in with crayon.

If an engraver screws up your property what happens? I assume you get free work done and ****ty product, or is it just "sorry, there are no guarantees"?

I think you may have waited too long for a Christmas delivery. Most good engravers are booked way in advance. It could take a year or more to get your piece in and engraved.

I've been on a waiting list to get my Seecamp engraved by Michael Gouse and it's been about a year and I am still waiting for the word to send my pistol in for work. My sense is that most decent engravers have a wait comparable to that.

Talk to Bob Mason at Dowdle Sports in Cordova TN between him and the guy that works with him they have been engraving and inlaying shotguns since I was born. Im not sure how dowdle sports is spelled but it is on Germantown Pkwy in Cordova TN. Well worth the trip from Franklin.
