Ruger LCR... in .22!

I was actually wondering if this would be made after they re-released the sp101 in. 22lr.

The sp101 in .22lr is actually useful as a trail gun. The only use i see for this is for leading new shooters to the sport with a .22 and quickly moving them up to centerfire. Maybe for disabled/handicapped/? people who cant handle anything else.

Interesting, but outrageously expensive for a .22.

that is the MSRP. Street costs will be high at first and then you will eventually be able to find them for less than $400.

When they first released the LCR in .38 they were over $400 at most stores. Now you can buy them on CDNN for $350

My take? (Like it matters.) I had a S&W 617. Sold it (stupid). ALways had a hankering for another .22 revolver, just because. Taurii SUCK. Their triggers are abysmal. If the trigger on THIS is as nice as they are on the.38's, I will get one. NOT for carry; for fun.

When and if the funds become available to me, I will be picking up one of these! I really like my 38 special LCR and I'm sure I'll have the same opinion of the 22lr version.

YIKES!! Just checked Ruger site. 525 suggested retail? Steel's right! I'd go get a SW617 instead. In fact, I've been eyeing one at Guns For America for a couple of weeks, and it's only about 100 bucks higher. But still, we all like our .22 toys, so it's just a matter of which one we like more. And as Eric88 said, the price should go down from that once they hit the street.

Amendment; perhaps I'm off onthe 617 pricing. Just looked for a couple and was shocked at the online prices. Maybe the LCR isn't quite so bad. But...still would prefer the 617.

This would make a good camping, hiking, trapping gun. Load it with 22 shotshells and you have some snake protection. 22 is good in a revolver because if you get a bad rimfire round you just pull the trigger again. 22 is good because ammo is cheap and you can practice a lot with it. 22's are fun.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen so many freak out over MSRP. Like anything ever sells for that when it hits the street...

(Unless it hits the street in front of Uselton's. That seems to give it a +10% bounce... :D)

Why suprised? You brought it up.:P
