I'm not usually one to get all frothy in praise of a corporation but I'm going to have to here.

In the recent thread asking for opinions on the Henry .17hmr I mentioned that I'd really like to polish the receiver of my H001 if I could get a matching, metal barrel band.

I was told to email Henry and ask & also ask about a replacement front sight. Well, at 10pm last night that's exactly what I did. I just mentioned that I'd like to purchase these items if they were available (they're not on the website)

5 minutes ago I received a phone call from the CEO of Henry Repeating Arms (the "Amurrican Made" guy from the tv comercials) letting me know that the parts are indeed available & that as a valued customer, he'd be more than happy to shop me these items FREE OF CHARGE!!!

I'm utterly stunned by this. This level of generosity & customer service simply blows my mind!

Henry Repeating Arms, you have a customer for life!

That is awesome, I bought a henry 22lr for my dad back in the summer. It's good to know that if anything every happens customer service should be pretty good.

They did the same type of a response when I asked to buy a new band (mine was scratched).

While i did not get free goods, when i ordered a large loop lever a few years back he answered the phone. He was very gracious.

Nice to know there are still companies that do things the right way. A Henry Rile is well worth the price.

yep, I wish they offered more styles and designs so I could buy more from them. I have never had to call them on anything but their quality is great and their reputation is well deserved.

I've never been a fan of the removable tube magazine design which they insist on using even on their centerfire leverguns (yes, I do know you can't really avoid it on .22lr), but I like the sound of their customer service. If I ever do buy a .22lr lever gun it will probably be from them.

I don't have a problem with a tube mag, I just prefer a fixed one that loads through a side gate like my Marlin 1984 .357. You can't do that with .22lr, but they use the same removable tube design for their .357, .44 and .45 lever guns too. I understand it works well, it's just not my preference.
