I just talked to Charlie. For the first time in a long time, he is going to have to raise the annual fee for his range. The new fee will be $60 per year, effective January 1.

Still a bargain…

Still very reasonable. I think he was adding on to the range too, long range rifle lanes and other stuff that I've forgotten.

This is a very reasonable price for the quality of the range, and Charlie is a gentleman. If this is the price to maintain access to the resource, so be it. Too low a price and it's not worth their while and then the range would go away.

I will be renewing without blinking. $60 is a bargain for that place. And if there was ever a nicer guy than Charlie I sure as hell haven't met him. Maybe my father-in-law but it's a close race.

He is first class all the way. My current membership does not expire until May 2012 but I will offer the extra $20.00 to support he needs.

Charlie doesn't push the fact, I have talked with him about it before, BUT technically ALL memberships expire at the end of the year. According to him, it's easier that way but he told me that because everyone has been SO honest about it, he doesn't see a need to enforce that at all.

That just shows what a relaxed and top notch gentleman he is.
