I would really like to pick up another AK and I haven't seen anything locally I am crazy about, Do they have one with a standard non-folding stock?

I did research. The complaints about canted sights and gas tubes all seemd to be before 2008. I am guessing Obama got CAI straightened out :)

I asked the lady at Classic about problems with the WASR and she said they had not had any problems for some time.

Anyway it is a real good rifle.

He promised change, right? There you go!

I bought a Saiga (5.45x39) for about $350 converted it the way I liked for about $150 and like magic I'm now an AK-74 guy!

So much so that I'm going to sell my Ruger SR556 and all my .223 ammo!

Yes they did yesterday. They had one with all wood furniture.

youve been bitten by the ak bug. its addicting. i did the same thing with my sgl31 and have no regrets. good thing about converting is you can put exactly what you want into the rifle. plus you learn a lot about how they work.

Brandon at Direct Hit is as cool as you can get. Very accommodating, highly recommended for transfers, trading, or outright sales. His prices are hard to beat.

+1 to converting a Saiga while they are at about $299 again
