Who has hard water? Who has a water softner system?

Who has hard water and what have you done about it? Just lived with it and done nothing? Installed a under sink or whole house system? How is that working out for you?

We have some pretty hard water here at the house and so far have just lived with it. We have a filter for the ice and water in the fridge but that is it. That does nothing for the laundry and dishwasher much less the soap scum and such that tends to build up. I am pretty sure I do not want a salt based system but I think the costs of a whole house RO system may be out of reach.

I have extremely hard water and a TDS reading of 760 ppm. I have a 300 plus gallon reef reef aquarium which requires pure water so I installed a to/do system which dropped my TDS to 0. If you decide to get a system lmk I can put you on a couple places that sell them pretty reasonable. Don't get one from one of the big box stores they are overpriced and pieces of junk. Trust me on that 1 I'm running a 10,000.00+ $ fish tank on mine.
