Luggage question

What type of luggage do you use for airline travel if you're taking a handgun with you. Hardside or softside?

I use soft side, and for my hand guns I use a Franzen Armloc II

I have a soft North Face duffle with rollers I always travel with. I put my pistol in a hard Kimber case. Even when they sling my bags off an airplane I don't worry. If it's not enough to bust open my toothpaste then it's not enough to damage my pistol in a hard case. I do use a pelican case when flying my rifle though.

Good price on that one . I travel with more than 1 so I use a bigger case.

Yeah, I fly a lot and you can always fit more in a duffel; when it looks full it seems like I can stuff twice as much in there. You can't do that with hard luggage. The one I have is waterproof which has come in handy in the past. I've never had an issue with items being damaged other than liquids, but I wrap those up pretty good; much better than my wife does. Especially if you have your weapon inside stored in a hard case you will have no issues regarding it getting damaged.

I couldn't find mine but this one is similar only mine is waterproof and black.

Thanks for info Weight has been more of the issue in my case, the wife brings too much junk. I thought I would like duffle better
