Man, John Cusack was a great fit for "Grosse Pointe Blank", with decent gunfights to boot. Which brings us back around to "Con Air" where his part was minimal.

My personal nomination for "Worst Movie Ever" is any movie with either Hugh Grant or Nicholas Cage in it. Grant just sucks, and Cage, well, let's just say I just never forgave him for divorcing Lisa Marie for starters....

I may never forgive him fully FOR marrying her!

When I see that little liberal prick Dicaprio in a movie I know there'll be a leftist twist, quit watching him after Blood Diamond.

What was your issue with Blood Diamond. I only watched it once, thought it was a good flick.

The worst movie of all time is without a doubt "The Bridges of Madison County"!!!!

If a worse movie is ever made, it shall set into motion the end of time.

Waterworld

Are We There Yet?

Rhinestone

Ishtar

Dune

Putting Rhinestone into the worst movie catagory? That's criminal. Two of the biggest assets in the movie world are in it....

Sylvester and Dolly.

Ahhh, doesn't matter.

I need to refrain from the political crap sometimes, definitely no need in this thread.

Thing is I try not to watch bad movies, even for free. It's not so much the money as the time. I still make mistakes though:

In the Name of the King

Good gravy this was awful. Couldn't tell if it was trying to horrible and succeeding or trying to be serious and failing

Jumping on the Nic Cage band wagon (met the guy, he seemed nice)

Wicker Man

And the craptastic Dougal

But my kid loved it at the time, so I enjoyed him enjoying it. When he tried to watch it last year he was baffled. How could something he loved so much be so terrible?

Cowboys and Aliens was actually pretty good...well not good exactly but sorta fun to watch. Just keep in mind that it was just a western and had a dog in almost every scene.

I kind of want to see this especially since Daniel Craig is one of my favorite actors due to Bone and my personal favorite movie L4yer Cak3. Whenever I get to see Cowboys and Aliens I will go into it with the attitude of, "This movie will be mediocre at best".

Cage was great in faceoff, gone in 60 seconds, and one of my all time favorites matchstick men.

Worst movie, ghost in the machine.

You guys aren't even close. The worst movie ever was 'The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover'. It was sort of an 'artsy' film that became popular for some, strange reason. A friend of mine (not even a chick!) wanted to see it when it was out in theaters, way back in '89 or so, and we went. It should be some indication of how awful the movie was that, twenty two years and plenty of bad 'B' movies later, I still consider it to be the worst movie I have ever seen.

Runners up for the title, IMO, (no particular order) would be:

The first three stand out because I expected them to be good or, at least, decent:

Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula. I love vampire films (as long as they are not of the Anne Rice/Twilight whiney-assed vampire variety) and love the Dracula story. That movie was awful.

The First Power. Again, it has been more than twenty years since I saw it and it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Judge Dredd. One of the best comic book series ever, especially the earlier ones. One of the worst movies ever.

Then there is:

Pretty much any chick flick ever since the beginning of time.

And, largely because so many people are convinced it is a great movie when it isn't, Gone with the Wind. God, I hate that movie. Booooooring. Well, okay, I probably already covered it under the 'chick flick' heading as it isn't a Civil War movie so much as it is a Harlequin Romance type story that happens to be set during the Civil War but I felt it deserved to be specifically mentioned.

Oh, and Cage's best role was in "Leaving Las Vegas." I saw it with the girl I was dating at the time and we had planned to go out for a few drinks, afterward. By the end of the movie, neither of us wanted a drink.

Wow... a lot of movies here are in my regular rotation.

Lord of War, Raising Arizona, Bloodrayne - all get watched semi-regularly.

I also liked Bad Teacher, Balls Of Fury and Matchstick Men.

And how in the hell can someone not like Water World? :tinfoil:

I'm not much into comedies unless it's something like O-Brother Were Art Thou, or Burn After Reading....not that I'm a big Clooney fan.

Leatherheads was fantastic.
