Santa delivered an early present today.

A brand new Canon XF300 HI-DEF video camera, tripod, with an extra extended life battery, quick release, and a seagate 2TB external hard drive. The camera bag that came with it has a led light bar on the inside of it too lol. I'm excited to get to learn this camera, its going to come in quite handy for school, my internship and for my career. Plus it'll get some awesome storm chase footage come spring time :)

I have a copy of Final Cut Studio 3 on the way too, just waiting on Apple to get some in stock.

Extremely nice.

Very powerful Weapon you have there . . .

Tyrants and Dictators fear that video camera, (the Press) more than they fear firearms.

That's why the Press is protected under the First Amendment, and Firearms are protected under the Second Amendment. Relative order of importance.

yeah, but unless something major happens like rioting in metropolitan areas on a mass scale, or something of a proverbially biblical proportion, I don't see myself using this camera to do that type of work.

I want to get into doing sports documentaries, nature and wildlife documentaries, and action video. I'd also like to do what I call Underdog Success Story documentaries, where someone shares their struggles and triumphs to inspire others to overcome adversity and to do great things.

We wanna see it!!

oh you will! Guaranteed to be some awesome storm chasing footage come next april/may! in the meantime, check out my smugmug page in my sig for some of my previous videos that I got last spring. ;)

Lets make a movie!

I'm game! let's get something going at the gun range! I have some neat ideas I want to put into motion!

I'm seeing two red X's. IE9 under Windows 7

Firefox won't work for me. I use this machine for business too, and our company supports IE only.
