Who do you have? If this is another kicking battle I will be very disappointed. Geaux Les Miles. Blow Tide Blow.

(Dos is spanish for Game of the Century Rematch)

Edit: Nothing makes me happier than to see the Cocks in front of UGA. I hate UGA. Losers.

I would like to make a few simple points about an LSU Bama rematch. Firstly I'll stay on topic and answer your question. I don't see another kicking battle because kicking will not win the game like it did last time. The winning team is going to have to put people in the endzone. The fact is the only reason LSU won a kicking match is because Bamas kicker choked, and the only thing they had to do to fix that, was make the kicker kick the ball all practice. It's not like there's much else for a kicker to do during practice anyways. I'm picking LSU for this not as fan, but analytically and realistically. LSU already beat Bama AT HOME, and now with the BCS championship in New Orleans it is a home game for LSU. As long as we can get Jefferson to accomplish, well, anything productive with the football, LSU can win this one. I trust LSUs defense to keep Bamas points low, and LSU special teams (mostly Mathieu) to make Jeffersons job as easy as possible, but he is still going to have to do it. And I don't want to hear anything about Lee, as he has proven despite his performance the rest of the season, that he is useless against Bama.

Yeah I think this will be different because last time, both teams were being careful and playing to not loose. This one if for all the marbles.

CAN'T WAIT.

I can appreciate that much. Really this entire season has practically been about LSU against Bama, with the rest of college football squabbling to see who is the best of the rest.

I'll wait to make my pick until about a week before the game. Got to see who gets suspended between now and then. :D

I will be pulling for LSU. I'm not a Bama fan to say the least. But I think if you give Saban a month to game plan one team he is going to make it very difficult for LSU to win again. In the end it won't matter if Bama wins, we will still have split National Champions.

If Bama wins they better have a third game as a tie breaker. A co-championship between Bama and LSU would only serve to infuriate both teams and the fans of those teams. I will lose it if that garbage happens.

As an LSU fan, obviously I'm pulling for the Tigers. LSU has a total of 3 national championships, but of those three only 1 was an undefeated season and that was back in 1958. Even with all that Les Miles has done at LSU I think he's still kind of taken a back seat to Saban...

Saban's championship at LSU came with a 1 loss season. Miles' championship at LSU came with a 2 loss season. Miles' senior class that year were actually Saban recruits. Saban went on to win a 2nd national championship at Bama with an undefeated season.

I think Miles deserves an undefeated season at LSU, and to cap it off with a national championship against Saban would be even sweeter to propel him out from under Saban's shadow. It would certainly cement Miles as the greatest coach in LSU's history, being the first to win 2 national championships and the first to go 14-0 (the '58 season finished at 11-0)

Speaking of Saban, this is what, his 5th year at Bama? Should be about time for him to split for a bigger paycheck somewhere isn't it? Maybe Texas can afford him now that they have the "Longhorn Network" if Mack Brown gets booted???

I think LSU drums the hell out of Bama and this time the Honey Badger actually pulls Trent Richardsen's leg out of it's socket,he almost did it last time

As much as I don't want to see that game again it is difficult to argue that those aren't the two best teams in the nation.

If they want to make the BCS really interesting they should have a conference champion only rule.

That wouldn't be the best solution. Small playoff system is the only way, once the super conferences get formed. Take two from each league.

I would argue that conference champion only is a small playoff system. You've got to win the conference to be a player. In the case of four super conferences you'd go SEC VS big twelve and PAC ten versus Big East or something. The winners would play for all the marbles. No reason to take two from each league when you can take the team that won it on the field.

It keeps the regular season and the post season very important.

You'd get SEC champ vs Big Ten champ

Big twelve Champ vs PAC ten champ

winners play in the nat'l champ game.

No Mike. It's best 2 out of 3. If Bama wins leaving the teams 1and1 I think we can all agree that that's just crap. In my opinion a third game would need to played in order to establish a clear national champion. If the best 2 teams in the country both beat each other once then they are technically nothing more then equal. If LSU wins its LSU2 Bama0 and LSU emerges as the clearly best team of the season.

I think what we'll see is if Alabama wins then they'll get the BCS championship (coaches trophy) but the AP voters will vote LSU number 1 and award them the AP national championship. So we'll end up with (another) split championship.

Of course if LSU wins then it'll be unanimous with both the BCS and AP championships.

Roll Tide bishes! Saban won't make the same mistakes twice! LSU is going down!

Saban won't lose again.

So much hate for LSU, and yet you seem to love Nick Saban.... Aren't you an Oklahoma fan? You do realize that it was SABAN that beat you guys for the National Championship back in 2003, right?

I would think you'd be pulling for LSU if for no other reason than to not want Saban to win yet another National Championship.

And who spells "oak" without an A anyway? If they insist on spelling it O-K-l-a-h-o-m-a shouldn't it be pronounced "Ock" lahoma?

:)

Yeah I see that point but the best teams are in the SEC. So maybe just make the National Championship trophy the SEC Trophy.

I'd not be surprised if Stanford pastes them...

Luck should have a field day against their horrible defense.

I wouldn't call it 'horrible'. They have created a lot of turnovers that has lead to their success. I think it will be a good game.

As for the NC game it won't be a field goal game cause Saban won't be trying 50 yarders. Instead he'll punt and try to pin them deep, and take advantage of field position. Which is what he should have done the first time. Of course this is just speculation of a simple mind :poop:
