First attempt at homemade holster

Hey guys..this is my first attempt at homemade holster..the design is "borrowed" but is very comfortable and works very well. The leather isn't the best piece but i didn't want to use a good piece for my first in case it didn't come out too good. Thx,have fun and be safe

thx guys...made another for a pa63 which i was having a hard time finding holsters for...looks about the same (except for shape of kydex of course) but they are probably the most comfortable holsters i've worn so far so i guess that means success ....thx again

Now you're talking! My wife dosen't know that you can get "blue guns"; they are the polymer training guns you can also use for molds. So every now and then, I'll "need" to buy another handgun. Sell a few, and you can help fund the new gun.

That holster looks very well built, but (and I could be totally wrong here) isn't the holster supposed to cover the trigger well as to avoid accidental/negligent discharges?

Thanks. I did carve it. I'm not all that great at it, but a piece of scrap makes for good practice.

That design is over 100 years old, and I've yet to hear of a negligent discharge because of it. Were I concerned about it, however, I would suggest only buying holsters that cover the triggerguard. Not sure how familiar you are with a revolver, but it takes a pretty good tug on the trigger to discharge it. I can dig up many photos on the web of famous FBI agents, peace officers, Texas Rangers, etc. who carried a similar style as a duty holster.
