There are certainly enough sound bites out there on Newt. He is a true politician. You know what you get with Ron Paul. Can't say the same about Newt or Nit.

Not bashing Ron, but you can take anything one politician says and twist it. Go back thirty or

so years on just about anyone and look at what he or she said. A lot of that ad is taken out

of context, not that all of them don't do it.

Go back 30 years on about everyone except Ron Paul. He's still saying the same stuff.

I also can't see how much of that was taken out of context for Newt, but I have never seen him as anything more than a snake oil salesman.

Newt will have to defend himself. Remember "wither on the vine" referring to ending Medicare? Totally taken out of context. On the other hand the commercial with Nancy, Newt will have to expain this one. Also the remarks about Paul Ryan's plan. Still would love to see him one on one with Obama.

Newt will do fine for the republican base who blindly vote the same sort of politicians in over and over again.

Who ever that can beat BHO, RuPaul can't. At this point it's either Mitt, Newt and a long shot for Herman.

Paul is not electable despite being a strict constitutionalist and isolationist.

So the GOPs master plan? Fight socialism with socialism? and To boldly fight globalism with globalism? That's brilliant, unfortunately I'm gonna get to find out how that works out for us all.

What's Mitt's ad gonna be? "Wait! Don't vote for Obama! We at the GOP bring you Obama white and light! Great smile less substance"

The main thing that could make Ron Paul un-electable against Obama is that Ron Paul wants to cut government and the social programs. So pretty much what you are saying (IMO) is that yes socialism is pretty cool cause we know that Mitt, Newt and probably Cain aren't going to cut government and at best will maintain the status quo of the welfare state we have grown so accustomed to.

They are playing to their base right now and will be playing to the middle when nominated and playing for their friends when elected. Ron Paul will remain Ron Paul through all of it, if nothing else he's proven that.

And what has Obama really done that Bush wouldn't have? What will Newt, Mitt or Cain do so differently than what Obama would? It doesn't matter which of them are elected socialism will continue unabated.

That video of McCain almost crying because anyone dare saying getting rid of the 4th amendment was possibly a very bad idea (Ron Paul's son thinks getting rid of the 4th is a bad idea) has me shook up.

And when I hear talk of them reaching across the isle, there is no isle to reach across anymore they are practically sitting in each others laps. McCain, how did the GOP come up with that guy?

At least a vote for Ron Paul shows that you are for something different and not for more of the same wearing a different tie.

Ron Paul is not a isolationist; he is a noninterventionist. Look up both definitions and know the difference please.

I'll tell you what, if everyone votes Ron Paul, so will I. :)

Well, I will - I refuse to vote for the 'lesser of two evils' anymore - I haven't in some time now.

You guys want to continue electing the same clowns over and over, go right ahead. You can only blame yourself.

But yah, keep repeating the 'RP is unelectable' mantra that the hardliners want you to - the only reason he is 'unelectable' is because most sheep vote down party lines like they're told to.

You Paul voters can't understand that there is no support for him besides you guys.

And there's no support for him in congress.

This is good up to the point of his blank stare.

I take it by your earlier mentioning of "RuPaul" you are a Mark Levin fan, or at least listen to him. I like Levin as well, and I agree with him on most issues. However, I think he is wrong about Paul.

I don't understand why everyone else would have to vote for Paul before you would vote for him. Either you agree with his positions and think he is the best candidate for the office thus casting your vote for him, or you don't and will not vote for him. Personally, I couldn't care less what everyone else is doing, nor do I care how much support Paul has. I believe Paul is the only candidate (outside of Johnson) who understands the direness of our fiscal situation, and is actually prepared to do something meaningful to reverse the situation. Therefore, I will be voting for him in the primary.

Can he win the nomination? Certainly, but it takes people who agree with his positions to actually vote for him and not worry about whether he can win. I still consider the primaries the time when you nominate the best candidate for the job, not necessarily the most electable. One only has to look at our current situation in this country to realize that nominating the most electable instead of the best candidate has been a disaster.

Will Paul win the nomination? Probably not, because a lot of voters will continue to heed the imprimatur of the establishment and/or media on who is electable instead of who is best.

This is exactly the same BS the MSM is saying about Dr. Paul. Wake up or your only getting more of the same with all the other mainline/neocon republicans!

FACT, Ron Paul has more supporters from the military than any other candidate for president, including current president BHO.

Man, you'd think BHO would've proved this unelectable crap false.

If I told you in 2007 that a one term black Senator from Illinois with little name recognition would be the next president you would have laughed. If I told you his middle name was Hussein, you would've laughed harder. If I also told you that he would beat a Clinton in the primary you would have guffawed. IF I then told you his first name was Barack you wouldn't be able to speak from the involuntary convulsing and snot bubbles coming out of your nose.

No rational person thought BHO could pull it off, I mean if it wasn't Hillary then it would be Biden or someone, right? But BHO is a good politician, he put everything into Iowa and won. That made him a contender and Hillary screwed the pooch when adding up votes and lost.

This is the same moment for Ron Paul. People can say he's unelectable. And they're as right as they were when they said BHO was unelectable. If he gets that win in Iowa it will change. I think people don't want Romney or Gingrich. You elect one of those guys and you get Obama. Yeah, every republican hates hard on obama but the truth is that that guy is the furthest right D we've had in forever. You vote Gingrich or Romney and you're voting for the individual mandate. You're voting for Obamacare. They say they aren't for it but they were for until Obama was.

People don't want that, they want a choice and if Ron Paul is smart he can pull off Iowa and use that to win. Will he beat Obama? Probably not. But he can change the discussion. And he'll come close to beating Obama if he can get the nomination.

But now is politician time. Ron Paul has to go full on to win Iowa, he has to spend money, he has to turn out the vote. Sadly, I think Ron Paul is not politically savvy, I think he expects to win if he has the best ideas. The last time that happened was never. He has to do more than be different this time around.

BHO had the MSM machine promote him to no end along with deep pockets from radical leftists, add GWB and his mistakes to it and it was a shoe in for the lying "1st black man".

Ron Paul should be so lucky.

Two of you have admitted that Paul won't win so apparently you're ready to let BHO have another four years, I can't see the logic in that. When it comes down to the final vote the Paul supporters are essentially voting for BHO by taking away votes from the republican. Surely you can see that?

It's great that the Military supports him but he needs people in both the House and Senate to get anything done and I have yet to find any of his colleges that will stand behind him.

OK, my bad Smitty, he is a "non-interventionist", he'd wants to trade and be friends with our enemies and sees no harm in allowing them to have nuclear weapons,..... pass the bong please. This and his age is where he loses a lot of Americans not to mention his views on 9/11.

It's going to take a long time to bring government back under the peoples control, one person (Paul) is not going to do it, not now. We have to start voting for like minded representatives in our local and state governments to really make a difference in the future.

IF we had representatives in place NOW that thought like Paul he may have a chance. He didn't in 08 and doesn't in 2012.

I've said it before, I hope his Son can win the support that his father has because he is one of a few conservative rising stars, Marco Rubio is another.

Good luck.

Complete and utter BS. Only in 2011 can someone claim that voting for the better candidate is the wrong choice, that voting for the lesser candidate because that's what 'most will probably do' is the right thing to do.

Unreal.

Wake up, people - voting 'against' someone is why we continually end up with such horrible elected officials. Blaming those willing to stand for principles while you cast a vote for someone you'd never vote for if there were no 'bad choices' is the pinnacle of hypocrisy.

You want to know who elected Obama last time? The very people supporting the pice of crap the republicans foisted as his opponent...

Vote your conscience in the primary. Vote against BHO in the general.

That is the position I am taking. I will be voting for Paul in the primary. I believe he is the best candidate for the job. If he doesn't get the nomination, I will be voting for whoever gets the Republican nomination. Hopefully it is Paul, but if it is not, Obama has to be removed from office. I honestly believe that this country would not be able to recover from an additional four years of Obama.

Hopefully Paul will drop out after the primary so he doesn't spoil it for the rest of us. :)

If you are talking of a 3rd party run he said the other day that the chances for that were 1 in the millions.

Once things get really rolling, I think he's got a good shot at the nomination though. If he can win or show pretty good in some of the early primaries and prove he's not just been leading some polls off the 10 followers the media tries to convince us he has, then he has a real shot.
