glock 3? thats a new one...

Posted (edited)

Great all I need is a new reason to buy another Glock. A new model. There goes this weeks check.

Well at least I get to keep my money for now. :(

But it is itchy,:dunno: anyone got a glock for sale.:x:

Sorry I have no experience with anything bigger than a 17

After further inspection of the glock websites technical data, a 30 is very close in size to a 19, which is my favorite glock. so for comfort it would seem that it should work well. YMMV

I sometimes carry a Glock 30, rest of the time a Ruger LCR in .357. The Glock is a great gun but a bit on the thick side if you carry in an inside the waistband holster (Don Hume for me). Not a big deal though once you get used to it. I carry the Ruger when I want to pocket carry which is most of the time.

i just got a sig p239 that im carrying in a high noon iwb and i reall like it. pretty slim and not too heavy.

Glock 30 was my first handgun, it is my least favorite gun that I own (out of 5). If you like the block grips, weight, triggers. I can see it being great for the stopping power and the size (easy to conceal).

The Glock 30 is still the same thickness of the G-21 but lot's of folk's love it. If you've got the money and want to go that route then give it a try.

I have tried Glock 30 ownership twice and it just dont work for me. Not so much the thickness of the grip but the thick heavy slide comparred to the 9/40's

I vary between a 30SF and a 19. Have no problem with either. I carry OWB, use a Comp-Tac paddle.

Same setup for me. I also carry the G30 iwb with a Milt Sparks VMII. No issues. I rotate the G30 and the 19 since they are the same size.

Good choice for carry. G30SF is the way to go, if you have the option between a G30 or G30SF. I EDC a 19 in a Supertuck.... as JohnnyFox said, G30+Supertuck can't be beat.

Same here. I'm not really sure if there is any one reason I didn't like mine, but I didnt. It shot well. I sold it and now carry an FN 45 USG or more lately a Sig 1911 Carry. Like those better, but I guess it's subjective.

I often carry a G30SF in an OWB holster with a good cant to it - it conceals pretty well. Nothing beats a 45 for peace of mind (at least for me..).

G30SF has been my carry weapon for a long, long time. Comfortable, effective, concealable.

Never had a reason to not like it.

I would do it, if I had a 30sf.

1 note many people think the 30sf is thinner then the 30, it is not. 30SF is shorter from front strap to back strap so it fits smaller hands better. it will not conceal any better or worse then the g30.

And it's only 2mm... but what a difference it makes.

I wear a shirt and tie to work 5 days a week. I did the MTAC thing for a while but, I've found the Smart Carry holster to work better for me. (Takes some getting used to.)

I carry my G30SF and a spare mag to work in this every day.
