making my own grips, from wood for my kimber

i have been ready alot on making grips latley and i figured id give it a shot.

i stopped by the local lumber store and picked up some lacewood

The Lace wood will look really good on your 1911. What kind of finish do you plan to put on it? I have not worked with Lace wood so I can't give any advice, "not that you need it".
